Notes for applicants

March 28, 2024:

The Program Associate position has not been filled, but the application period has closed as of March 15, 2024. We are processing many current applications for the position. We are not planning to accept more applications or review any applications submitted after March 15.

Anyone who submitted a complete application before March 15 was sent a note confirming receipt. If you received such a confirmation, you are in the system. That means you will receive a notice of your status as soon as possible.

While we anticipate contacting all applicants by the end of April, we cannot guarantee it. We will do our best to keep applicants informed. We will update this page no later than April 30, 2024.

Prior notice:

  • After March 15, 2024, FIRE will have limited capacity to update any applicant’s status or answer any questions; and until that date, will have almost no capacity to do so.

  • If you are unable to assess the feasibility of this job without receiving a clarification of something in the job notice, we regret the inconvenience to both parties, but we probably will not have the capacity to help. If you apply anyway, feel free to raise any question in your cover letter.

  • If you have **not** successfully completed the application by including a cover letter with a resume, your application will not be considered and will not prompt a confirmation of receipt.

  • If you have successfully completed the application by submitting the resume and cover letter, you should receive a confirmation of receipt no later than March 15.

  • If you have no immediate record of a receipt confirmation, please first wait until March 15—and check your junk or spam folder.

  • As long as you received a confirmation of receipt, your application will be under consideration until we notify you otherwise.

  • We intend to notify any applicants when they are no longer under consideration—and to notify all applicants of their status—as early as possible. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but we will be as prompt as possible.
