Connecting  investigative freelancers

Given the proliferation of listservs, Facebook groups, resources lists, job boards, and other commercial communities (e.g., Study Hall), the question is: Do freelance investigative reporters have everything they need? Is there enough out there to work, learn, help one another, and weigh in on aspirations for the field of investigative reporting?  If not, what would help? 

FIRE is in the planning stages of launching an online community, but we don't want to reinvent the wheel.
